Importing Articles from EBSCO

Many of Mount Union's databases use the EBSCO platform.  Follow these instructions to import the sources you find into your RefWorks account.

  1. As you find sources you wish to save during your search, add them to your Folder by clicking the light blue page next to each source.  The icon turns yellow once it is in the folder.

  2. Once you have added all the sources you want to the folder, click the "Folder" button at the top of the page.
  3. Select the sources you wish to export and click "Export" to the right.
  4. Select the "Direct Export to Refworks" option and click Save.  Refworks will open in a new tab or window.
  5. In Refworks, a popup should appear that says that the sources were successfully imported.  If this box does not appear or if the sources do not show up in your Last Imported folder, go back to the previous tab and import the sources again.

If you are not signed into EBSCO, the items saved in your folder will reset when closing the window or when going idle for at least 15 minutes.  To ensure that you do not lose anything, either export to RefWorks often or create an EBSCO account so that any item saved to your folder will be saved permanently.
