Starting school in the fall is challenging, but college is a whole different ball game. The stress of classes and college life in general sometimes makes it hard for students to become acclimated. But, the simplest changes in daily routines make college life much simpler. Below some tips and tricks to achieve this are listed for your benefit! Routine Tips

Desk with comupterOne major aspect in making college a more calm environment for you is having a consistent routine. Try to create some consistency in your daily tasks to help you stay in control of your day. Even starting your day by making your bed and brushing your teeth every morning will help your mind and body adjust to your college routine.

Every student learns differently. Some learn visually and some learn best with a hands on approach. Along with this, some people can learn in a hectic environment, while others need complete silence. You know yourself best, so this tip is entirely up to you to decide what your ideal study environment is. Some common places to study can be in your dorm, the library, or even at the B&B with a smoothie in your hand!

This can mean staying ahead of your assignments by reading your syllabus and checking D2L regularly or it can be something like packing your bag the night before class. By implementing these little additions to your routine, you will find that it pays off to be prepared!

BreakfastFood is fuel! It can be easy to become distracted by an assignment and accidentally skip a meal. Some also find that they do not have the time to cook something up. Some helpful tips can include setting aside time to eat and to take breaks from your school work. Meal prepping can also be super helpful when it comes to making easy dinners. College ClassroomSkipping class will make getting back into your college routine way harder. Plus college is not cheap, and skipping classes is basically wasted the hard earned money that allows you to go to school. Not only do you miss important information when you skip a class, but you are also throwing away the money it costs to pay for your classes. Be dependable, you owe it to yourself!
