Library 101: Library Collections

About

The Main Library at the University of Mount Union is home to a wide variety of collections and serves as a federal depository. The library collections are located in various areas of the library as well as on and off campus. In addition to the Main Library, we have the Sturgeon Music Library located in Cope Music Hall and the Curriculum Resource Center located on the 3rd floor of the Main Library.

Our vast collection includes more than:

  • 250,000 print volumes
  • 1,800 print periodical subscriptions
  • 8,500 audio and video materials
  • 250 electronic databases
  • 85,000 electronic journals, newspapers, and magazines
  • 500,000 eBooks
  • 100,000 streaming films and documentaries
  • 2,500 online state and federal government documents
  • 30 public computers
  • 2 computer labs
  • 24 hour space

During this time of COVID-19, we have closed the shelves to browsing by patrons but happily make ourselves available to retrieve items for all patrons. Use LibAnswers to request a book and you will be notified when the item is available to be picked up at the circulation desk.
